College Nurse & Doctors

Trinity employs both a College Nurse and Doctors, who are attached to a local GP Surgery.

College Nurse

Jo Bowd is the College Nurse. Her role is to advise, treat and support any college student who is unwell, injured or in any other difficulty. She is also available for students who are dealing with adjustment issues, stress or any other form of emotional strain. She can give family planning advice, including emergency contraception. She also has a wide variety of health education material. If she cannot help you she will refer you to someone who can.

Jo is available throughout the week Monday - Friday 0th -9th week term time only. Her email pml.trinitynurse@nhs.net. 

College Doctors (& GP Surgery)

All students need to be registered with an Oxford GP practice. f you are not already registered with an NHS doctor, College will register you with the NHS upon arrival. The college is linked to Summertown Health Centre and information about registering is provided to all students.

The college doctors are Dr Kyle Knox and Dr Hannah Peters. In normal times they would run a weekly surgery, along with the College Nurse Kerry Minton, in Trinity on Weds 10.30 -12.30 during weeks 0 through 8.

However, due to the Coronavirus situation, please contact Summertown Health Centre directly for medical problems and advice. There are three simple ways to do this: either by completing an online form which can be found here: https://summertownhealthcentre.webgp.com, or by telephoning the Health Centre on 01865 515552, or make an appointment via the nurse at 01865 279915.

Prescriptions can be requested either by using the surgery’s online services via the website, using the eConsult form on the website or emailing in your request to summertownhc@nhs.net

Your prescription can be sent electronically to a pharmacy local to you. If we have not sent a prescription for you to that pharmacy before, please let us know its name and postcode and allow 72 hours to process.

Out of office hours students should ring NHS direct on 111 for medical advice.
